Essential Functions:

- Provide excellent guest service.

- Be familiar with all lodges, activities, trails, and surrounding areas.

- Handle horses confidently and competently.

- Feed, water, and care for horses.

- Maintain equipment and ensure it's in working condition.

- Saddle/unsaddle horses and assist guests with mounting/dismounting.

- Keep the yard, grassy areas, and tack room clean.

- Be willing to become CPR and first aid certified.

- Prioritize guest safety.

- Perform other duties as needed, possibly in other departments.

 

- Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred; 1–3 months of related experience/training or equivalent.

- Reasoning Ability: Able to follow simple instructions and handle standardized situations.

 

Physical Requirements:

- Must be able to grasp, write, stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions.

- Continuous communication with guests and staff. 

- Visual acuity for near vision and depth perception.

- Use of hands, arms, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

- Regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs; occasionally up to 75 lbs.
