We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at Richland Nursing and Rehab in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. As a COTA with our organization, you will play a vital role in helping our residents achieve their rehabilitation goals and regain independence in their daily lives.
About the Role:
As a COTA, you will assist occupational therapists in the implementation of individualized treatment plans, focusing on strengths, functional abilities, and limitations of our residents. You will provide occupational therapy interventions in a variety of settings, including our rehabilitation gym, resident's rooms, and other areas of the facility. Your expertise will help residents develop, maintain, or regain skills essential for daily living, such as self-care, mobility, and cognitive function.
Responsibilities:
Assist occupational therapists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of treatment plans
Provide occupational therapy interventions, including exercises, activities, and adaptive equipment training
Conduct assessments and reassessments to measure resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Communicate effectively with occupational therapists, other healthcare professionals, and family members to ensure seamless care
Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident progress and treatment plans
Collaborate with other departments to ensure a comprehensive approach to resident care

Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
Degree in Occupational Therapy
