Job Description
Position Summary:
The Safety Coordinator supports human resources functions and maintains a safe, compliant warehouse environment. This role includes HR administration, employee relations, payroll/timekeeping support, and safety compliance. Bilingual in Spanish and English is required to communicate effectively with warehouse staff.
Requirements:Key Responsibilities:
Safety Coordination
- Conduct regular warehouse safety inspections and identify hazards.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain records of incidents, near misses, and workplace injuries; report to management and regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate safety training programs (forklift certification, PPE usage, emergency response drills).
- Investigate accidents and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (required).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HR, safety, or warehouse operations.
- Occupational Safety, or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and safety regulations (OSHA compliance preferred).
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with HRIS or payroll systems preferred.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the warehouse for inspections and training.
- Hours-7:30am-4:00pm M-F
