FLOOR TECH

Crenshaw Janitorial is seeking a Floor Tech to support clean, safe, and well-maintained facilities in an onsite environment.

Position Summary

The Floor Tech is responsible for maintaining and restoring the appearance and condition of floors across assigned sites. This role performs routine cleaning and specialized floor care tasks while following established procedures to ensure surfaces are properly prepared, finished, and maintained.

You will work independently and as part of a team to deliver consistent results, maintain a safe work area, and support the overall cleanliness standards expected by clients and property stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare floors using appropriate equipment and materials to meet job specifications and quality standards.

• Perform floor care tasks such as stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing as needed.

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, ensuring proper use, storage, and readiness for daily operations.

• Follow safety procedures to protect coworkers and building occupants, including proper handling of chemicals and wet-floor controls.

• Inspect finished work for quality, report issues, and make adjustments to achieve desired results.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to perform job-related tasks that may include standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and working around wet or slippery surfaces.

• Demonstrated attention to detail and pride in producing consistently clean, professional results.

• Willingness to follow safety procedures and work practices, including proper chemical handling and equipment operation.

• Reliability and punctuality with a strong commitment to completing assigned tasks on time.

• Basic literacy and communication skills to understand instructions, follow procedures, and coordinate with team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior janitorial, custodial, or floor maintenance experience in a commercial or facility setting.

• Experience using floor care equipment and handling cleaning solutions safely and consistently.

• Familiarity with floor surface types and how to adjust cleaning methods to match different materials.

• Experience working onsite in environments with frequent traffic, deadlines, or variable scheduling.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $15.00 - $20.00
