Job Description
LOCATION: Natick, Massachusetts PRACTICE MODALITY: Private Practice (1-2 Doctors) SCHEDULE: Part time (3-4 days) COMPENSATION: Negotiatable BENEFITS: • Retirement Plan (401K or SIMPLE IRA) • Health Benefits • PTO SPECIALTIES: • Pediatrics • Binocular / Vision Therapy • TBI, ABI PRACTICE OVERVIEW & DETAILS: Pediatric & Binocular Vision Optometrist A Message to Candidates I am looking for a compassionate, high-energy Optometrist to join my practice. My primary focus is providing exceptional care in Pediatrics, Binocular Vision, and Vision Therapy. To me, the most important quality in a doctor is their bedside manner. I can train you on the clinical protocols and the "how-to" of therapy, but I cannot teach the heart and patience required to work with children. If you have a genuine passion for this field and love connecting with patients, I want to meet you. What I Am Looking For The Right Personality: I need someone who is patient, playful when they need to be, and able to put both a child and their parents at ease. Your ability to build trust is your most important asset. Clinical Interest: I prefer someone who is residency-trained in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision. However, if you are not residency-trained but have a deep interest in this specialty and some experience in the field, I am very open to meeting you. A Growth Mindset: I am looking for a doctor who is eager to learn. Whether you are already an expert or looking to grow your skills in Vision Therapy, I am ready to invest in your training. Your Role in My Practice Pediatric Care: You will perform comprehensive exams for our younger patients, ensuring they feel safe and comfortable throughout the process. Specialized Evaluations: I will have you lead BV and visual processing workups to identify why a child might be struggling in school or daily life. Treatment Planning: You will work closely with me to design and oversee Vision Therapy programs that change our patients' lives. Parent Education: You will be the primary advocate for the child, explaining diagnoses and treatment paths to parents with empathy and clarity. Requirements Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree and active license. A demonstrated interest in Binocular Vision (through previous work, externships, or continuing education like COVD/OEP). Excellent communication skills are non-negotiable. SOURCING CHANNEL: ODs on Finance (50/50 Direct Placement Split)
