GENERAL LABORER

JOB DETAILS:
Primarily involved in breaking down loads for the batch furnaces.  Also involved with helping continuous furnace operators and completing miscellaneous jobs throughout the shop.
 

Primary Responsibilities

• Verify that all operations listed on the Job Process Card have been completed.
• Obtain proper containers and maintain traceability of product/paperwork throughout process.
• Weigh/count empty containers prior to placing parts in container.
• Obtain the correct number of samples for inspection and provide parts/paperwork to lab.
• Place parts in container according to job card instructions.
• Weigh/count full containers prior to moving containers to proper hold area. 
• Apply Rust Inhibitor per job card instructions.
• Be able to identify non-conforming product with respect to job duties. 
• Work area kept neat and trash removed each shift.
• Operate forklift truck as required.

• Bending - Frequently
• Pulling & Pushing
• Lifting up to 50 pounds - Occasionally (hoist available)
• Lifting over 50 pounds - Occasionally (hoist available)
• Standing
