Assistant General Manager – Restaurant | Brooklyn, NY
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Assistant General Manager to support daily operations at a high-volume, fast-paced full-service restaurant in Brooklyn. This role is ideal for a hospitality leader who thrives on the floor, leads by example, and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving strong operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the General Manager in overseeing day-to-day restaurant operations
- Lead FOH and BOH teams to ensure smooth service, consistency, and hospitality standards
- Drive execution of service standards, training programs, and team accountability
- Assist with scheduling, labor management, and cost control initiatives
- Monitor food quality, guest satisfaction, and service recovery when needed
- Support inventory management, ordering, and vendor communication
- Help manage hiring, onboarding, training, and staff development
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Step in as Manager-on-Duty as needed across all shifts
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of management experience in a high-volume restaurant environment
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Solid understanding of P&L, labor controls, and operational KPIs
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stay calm and effective in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting
- Hands-on leadership style with a floor-first mentality
