Overview

A top-tier law firm is seeking a Senior Corporate / M&A Associate with strong deal leadership experience to join its New York office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney who is already functioning at a senior level and is looking for a platform that offers high-end deal flow, international exposure, and a clear path toward partnership or counsel-level progression.

• Mergers & Acquisitions (domestic + cross-border)
• Private Equity transactions
• Venture Capital investments
• Strategic corporate transactions

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage transactions end-to-end with minimal oversight
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, including PE sponsors, funds, and founders
• Draft and negotiate complex transaction documents (SPAs, merger agreements, JV agreements, etc.)
• Coordinate cross-border deals involving Asia, Europe, and global counterparties
• Oversee junior associates and manage deal teams
• Work directly with partners on high-value transactions

Ideal Candidate Profile

• ~7–10+ years of M&A / corporate experience
• Currently at an Am Law firm or top-tier boutique
• Demonstrated experience leading deals (not just supporting)

Strong background in:

• Cross-border M&A (Asia exposure strongly preferred)
• Private equity / sponsor-side work
• NY Bar admission (required)
• Law Review or strong academic credentials preferred
