General Operator - Blackening (Short Tanks)
- Monday-Friday
- 1st Shift - 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
General Operator - Blackening (Long Tanks) / Packager
- Monday-Friday
- 1st Shift - 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
2nd Shift General Operator - Blackening
- Monday-Friday
- 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- 15% shift premium after transitioning to 2nd shift
- Shift bonus available after 30 days
We are currently hiring for 1st Shift General Operator - Blackening positions in Rockford, IL. These Temp-to-Hire opportunities involve processing metal parts through blackening operations, inspecting finished products, packaging, and supporting daily production activities in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities - Process metal parts through blackening tanks according to production requirements.
- Monitor parts throughout the finishing process to ensure quality standards are met.
- Package finished products for shipment.
- Perform product inspections using measuring tools and gauges.
- Move materials and parts throughout the production area.
- Follow all safety policies and wear required PPE.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform additional production duties as assigned.
- Manufacturing or production experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic.
- $17.00 per hour
