Cath Lab Technologist Job Description
The Cath Lab Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures in the catheterization laboratory. This role involves working closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures, including angiography and other catheter-based interventions.
- Prepare and position patients for examinations, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Monitor patient's vital signs and report any abnormalities during procedures.
- Assist physicians during interventional procedures and maintain a sterile environment.
- Handle and care for equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and cleanliness.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding procedures and outcomes.
The technologist will have on-call duties every third weekend and will be required to respond to the worksite within 30 minutes of callback notification. When on-call, the technologist will stay on-site.
Qualifications- Current Licensure as a Registered Radiologic Technologist in the State of Ohio.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
This position requires working daytime shifts, five days a week, with hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
