Dental Assistant

Fox Chapel Advanced Dental Care is seeking an experienced, highly skilled Dental Assistant to join our dedicated, fun-loving team. Key Responsibilities  

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including restorative, surgical, and cosmetic dentistry.  
• Set up and break down operatories,ensuring all strict infection control and sterilization protocols are met.  
• Take, develop, and mount high-quality digital dental radiographs (X-rays).  
• Manage patient comfort before, during, and after treatment, providing clear post-operative instructions.  
• Accurately record patient medical history, take vitals, and maintain detailed clinical charting.  
• Prepare and manage dental materials, impressions, and lab cases.  
• Assist with inventory control and ordering of clinical supplies.  

Qualifications  

• 2+ years of continuous experience as a Dental Assistant.  
• Active X-ray certification for the state of Pennsylvania.  
• CPR/BLS Certification.  
• Comprehensive knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and terminology.  
• Experience with dental practice management software.  
• Excellent communication skills and a team-player mentality.  
• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) credentials are a strong plus.
