Cashier: Part-time

This Cashier position requires that you must be have an outgoing, cheerful and genuinely helpful personality. You must be open to feedback and on-going training to be successful in this job.

Responsibilities

• Must learn the breakfast and lunch menus in order to assist customers with their food selections.
• Greet each customer with a smile and assist them with questions and their food selections. Be prepared to offer suggestions or to answer their questions about the menu or services provided by Zeeland Street.
• Correctly input orders into the Point of Sale (POS) system to assure kitchen staff is able to prepare each order quickly and without errors.
• Consistently clean the counters and guest areas to make sure they are sanitary and organized. This includes cleaning both indoor and outdoor eating areas and restrooms.
• Keep our guest self service stations sanitary, well stocked, and easily accessible.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable transportation to be on time for scheduled shifts.
• 1-3 years of cash handling, customer service, restaurant OR hospitality experience.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with the ability to be self directed and able to solve operational issues on your own.
• Willingness to learn new systems and procedures.

Hourly Pay/ Hours

• $8 - 8.50 per hour + tips; Averages out approximately $10.00 per hour
• Typically 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Mondays - Saturdays; Closed on Sundays)
