Pipefitter

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter to join our industrial fabrication team. The Pipe Fitter will be responsible for preparing, assembling, installing, and repairing piping systems while ensuring all work meets project specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, piping isometric drawings, and specifications.
• Measure, cut, and prepare pipe and fittings for installation.
• Fit and align pipe, valves, flanges, and other components.
• Assemble and install industrial piping systems.
• Use hand tools, power tools, cutting equipment, and fabrication equipment.
• Perform pipe layout, fitting, grinding, and preparation for welding.
• Ensure proper alignment and positioning of piping components.
• Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, and other piping materials as required.
• Assist welders with pipe preparation and fit-up.
• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Pipe Fitter in an industrial or fabrication environment preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and pipe isometric drawings.
• Strong understanding of pipe fitting, layout, and fabrication.
• Experience working with carbon steel and stainless steel pipe preferred.
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, fit, and align pipe.
• Experience with flanges, valves, fittings, and piping components.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various positions throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and move materials and equipment.
• Ability to work in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, heat, and varying temperatures.
• Must be able to wear required PPE and follow all safety requirements.
