Job Description
Job Summary The Inventory Management Support C is a highly skilled material handler responsible for shipping, packing, receiving, and moving materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site under minimal supervision. This role prepares and maintains records of products shipped, tracks shipments, and ensures timely receipt and inspection of incoming materials against purchase orders or invoices. Key Responsibilities Package shipments internally per procedures or send to outside packing houses Interface with departments and external shipping/freight companies to ensure timely deliveries Generate shipping labels and documentation for hardware/materials Inspect incoming materials for physical damage and verify paperwork accuracy Receive materials into ERP system and report discrepancies Load/unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, shelves, and vehicles Secure shipments with strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent damage Convey materials to designated areas using industrial trucks, hoists, or manual handling Tag and label materials for identification and tracking Stack and assemble materials into bundles and secure with bands Maintain clean work area and perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years post-secondary/associate’s degree with at least 2 additional years of related experience Basic reading and writing skills; ability to understand directions in English Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or regulations Strong communication skills for presenting information and responding to questions Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) Manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools Preferred Qualifications Experience with ERP systems for material tracking and receiving Ability to write reports and effectively present information to managers, clients, and customers Education: High School
