Construction General Superintendent

A well-established and highly respected commercial concrete contractor is seeking an experienced General Superintendent to join their St. Louis team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned field leader with a strong structural concrete background who is ready to take ownership of major projects and lead field operations across the St. Louis market.

What You'll Do

• Oversee day-to-day field operations for structural concrete projects throughout the St. Louis area
• Lead and develop Superintendents, Foremen, labor crews, subcontractors, and other field personnel
• Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure projects remain on schedule
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and deliveries to maintain productivity
• Oversee concrete placement, finishing, formwork, rebar, and structural construction activities
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements across all jobsites
• Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and jobsite reviews
• Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, clients, and subcontractors to coordinate project execution
• Monitor quality control and ensure work meets project specifications and client expectations
• Identify and resolve field issues that could impact schedule, budget, safety, or quality
• Maintain daily reports, progress updates, and other required project documentation
• Mentor and develop field leadership to build a strong, high-performing team
• Participate in pre-construction planning, logistics, sequencing, and manpower planning
• Travel between project sites throughout the St. Louis market as needed

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of structural concrete construction experience
• 2+ years of experience in a Superintendent, General Superintendent, or similar field leadership role
• Strong knowledge of:

  • Formwork
  • Rebar installation
  • Concrete mix designs and specifications
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications
• Proven ability to manage multiple crews and projects
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to travel between multiple jobsites
