Restaurant General Manager | High-Volume Upscale Dining

Role Overview A food-focused, high-volume restaurant concept located in the North Charleston area of Charleston, SC 29405 is seeking an experienced General Manager. Operating at a volume of 200 to 300 covers per shift, this role requires a dedicated leader to manage overall restaurant operations, drive financial performance, and cultivate guest and team satisfaction. The position oversees internal team development, community engagement, vendor relations, and daily service execution within an environment centered on internal hospitality and elevated dining experiences.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations, financial management, P&L reporting, and administrative leadership for a high-volume venue.
• Mentor, train, and develop floor staff and management team members to support career growth and maintain service standards.
• Establish and maintain relationships with local vendors, farms, and suppliers to procure quality ingredients and products.
• Maintain cost controls, operational efficiency, and inventory management to achieve established revenue and profit goals.
• Represent the concept through participation in local community events, volunteer initiatives, and charitable partnerships.
• Resolve operational, guest, and personnel issues using direct and proactive communication strategies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing an upscale, food-centric restaurant operating at high volume (200–300 covers per shift).
• Proven track record of full P&L accountability, budget creation, and financial forecasting.
• Demonstrated ability to source local products and collaborate with regional agriculture and vendor networks.
• Strong background in staff recruitment, retention, and team leadership.
• Exceptional organizational capacity, problem-solving skills, and verbal communication abilities.

Mandatory Requirements

• 5+ years of verified experience as a General Manager in high-volume, upscale food concepts.
• Documented experience managing complete restaurant P&L, labor costs, and operating budgets.
• Full availability to work open, closing, weekend, and holiday shifts in Charleston, SC 29405.

• Base Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 per year
