Job Description

MITIGATION OPERATIONS MANAGER

Build the Team. Lead the Operation. Own the Results.

We are seeking an experienced restoration leader to build, lead, and grow our Mitigation Department. This is not simply a project management position. You will have ownership of the department's people, production, quality, customer experience, and financial performance.

We are looking for a leader who develops people, creates accountability, improves systems, and builds a department capable of delivering consistent, profitable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a high-performing team by recruiting, training, coaching, and developing technicians and future leaders.
  • Conduct daily team huddles to ensure crews are prepared, properly equipped, and aligned on schedules and production goals.
  • Oversee water mitigation, mold remediation, fire/smoke, environmental, contents, odor, bio/trauma, and related restoration services.
  • Schedule and deploy personnel, vehicles, equipment, and resources for efficient emergency response and project completion.
  • Ensure work meets Paul Davis, IICRC, carrier, safety, and quality standards.
  • Own departmental revenue, gross margin, labor productivity, equipment utilization, budgets, and operating performance.
  • Scope residential and commercial losses and provide technical guidance to customers, adjusters, and team members.
  • Ensure job documentation, photos, moisture logs, equipment records, authorizations, SLAs, and carrier requirements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Monitor project quality, cycle time, customer satisfaction, and billing readiness.
  • Serve as an escalation point for customers and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory, equipment, vehicle, and supply readiness.
  • Collaborate with Estimating, Reconstruction, Contents, Administration, Accounting, and Business Development to create seamless project handoffs.
  • Participate in after-hours/on-call response as necessary.

What Success Looks Like

You will build a Mitigation Department that:

  • Consistently achieves revenue and gross-margin goals.
  • Has the right people in the right positions with clear accountability.
  • Develops technicians into capable Lead Technicians and future leaders.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service and maintains strong carrier compliance.
  • Operates through people, processes, KPIs, and accountability—not constant owner involvement.
  • Is positioned for sustainable, profitable growth.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven mitigation/restoration leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of IICRC standards and restoration best practices.
  • Ability to build, coach, and hold a team accountable.
  • Understanding of job costing, gross margin, labor management, and production.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to confidently work with customers, adjusters, carriers, and employees.
  • IICRC certifications such as WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT, and OCT are highly valued.
  • A builder's mindset—someone who wants ownership and is motivated by creating results.

Compensation & Opportunity

We are willing to invest in exceptional talent.

  • Competitive base salary
  • Significant performance-based incentive opportunity
  • $70,000–$85,000+ bonus opportunity with total earning potential up to $115,000
  • Company vehicle and fuel
  • Health benefits
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Company-paid IICRC training and continuing education
  • Additional benefits and professional development opportunities

This is an opportunity to build a department, develop a great team, make a measurable impact on the company, and be rewarded for the results you create.
