CNC Milling Operator

Location:  Bellingham/Hopedale

CNC Machine Operator needed to produce machined parts by operating computer numerical control machines, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines working primarily with various materials
• Keep production running by deburring and preparing parts for loading into chuck or fixture
• Implement company quality management system working to procedures flow charts and work instructions
• Use all available measuring tools including micrometers verniers height gauges and bore gauges
• Use time efficiently while machine is running for checking parts deburring cleaning tools holders and machine setups
• Protect self and others by following health and safety policy and practicing safe work habits
• Follow strict inspection protocol in performing quality related inspections
• Report to supervisor on quality assurance and technical issues
• Follow strict machine shut down procedures when processes are not running at optimal conditions
• Uphold quality policy and work towards corporate goals
• Ensure production cycles and efficiencies are met or exceeded
• Ensure quality management system abides by customer internal ISO 9001 and regulatory requirements
• Abide by OSHA regulations and standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Desire to learn and work in various capacities
• Experience working with computers and CNC type machines
• Ability to work with others process improvement attention to detail and good judgment
• Ability to get things done on time

Other Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in blueprint reading and use of machine shop measuring equipment
• Ensure all components meet specifications using appropriate tools for verification
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills with attention to detail
• Good work ethic and flexibility to work any shift
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
