Store Associate

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of all associates is to deliver an exceptional experience to every customer, every time, while upholding the company’s Core Values. As a Store Associate, you will engage customers on the sales floor, understand their needs, and provide knowledgeable, helpful guidance to ensure they leave with the right products and a great impression of our store.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Provide exceptional customer service — Greet every customer within five feet, make eye contact, smile, and be helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Every Customer, Every Time.

·         Actively sell and engage customers — Demonstrate the S.A.L.E.S. process, promote Ace Rewards, describe the Ace Helpful Promise(s), and use the Magic Question.

·         Maintain department standards — Keep your assigned area clean, organized, and fully stocked. Restock displays, end caps, and side wings as needed.

·         Execute daily priorities with urgency — Complete management’s operational goals with a “Speed is Life” attitude, moving with purpose while staying detail-oriented.

·         Handle customer needs and special orders — Assist with questions, complaints, and non-stock orders. Escalate to a manager when needed — it always takes two associates to say “No.”

·         Stay visible and available — Walk departments, position yourself in main aisles, and ensure all customers are being assisted. Avoid personal conversations on the floor.

·         Support receiving and merchandising — Help unload trucks, stock merchandise, and update pricing and promotional tags following sales events.

·         Prevent loss — Watch for shoplifting and respond per company policy. Excellent customer engagement is the best deterrent.

·         Communicate and collaborate — Attend Daily Huddles, wear your radio and headset, engage with store initiatives, and assist in training peers.

·         Other Duties may be assigned by management as necessary.
