Registered Nurse Long Term Care Contract

The Registered Nurse Long Term Care Contract position is focused on delivering comprehensive nursing care in the transitional care unit of a rehabilitation center. This role involves providing patient care, managing medications, monitoring vital signs, wound care, and ensuring meticulous documentation and infection control. Working primarily 8- to 12-hour shift in the evening, the nurse will serve as an individual contributor with opportunities for contract extension or potential permanent placement.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in long term care rehabilitation settings
• Administer medications accurately and safely
• Develop and update individualized care plans
• Monitor and record vital signs regularly
• Perform wound care and treatment per protocols
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year nursing experience
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Proven skills in patient assessment and medication administration
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
• Competence in wound care and infection control procedures
