Registered Nurse/LPN

This Registered Nurse position is based in a fast-paced ophthalmology surgery center with a focus on preoperative, post-anesthesia, and operating room care. The role requires exceptional assessment skills, IV therapy expertise, and the ability to manage a high volume of patients in a team-oriented environment. This position is available on Tuesdays from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm and involves working with paper-based medical records.

Responsibilities

• Provide preoperative care to prepare patients for surgery
• Deliver post-anesthesia care and monitor recovery
• Assist in the operating room during ophthalmology procedures
• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs
• Administer and manage IV therapy
• Educate patients regarding their care and procedures
• Respond promptly to emergencies
• Document patient care accurately using paper records

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Proficient in IV therapy and patient assessment
• Experienced in postoperative and anesthesia care
• Skilled in emergency response
• Familiarity with electronic health records and paper-based documentation
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Registered Nurse (RN) license
