Peoplelink is seeking a reliable and hardworking Cook to join a kitchen team at a local university in South Bend. The Cook will be responsible for preparing fresh Mediterranean-style food while maintaining quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Prepare ingredients including meats, vegetables, sauces, grains, and other food items.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper cooking temperatures.
• Assist with food prep, portioning, plating, and stocking as needed.
• Work efficiently during busy meal periods.
• Properly store food and rotate ingredients to maintain freshness.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, and utensils.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
• Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties as assigned.

• Previous cooking or food-service experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions.
• Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move food supplies as needed.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
