Security Guard - Armed or Unarmed

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and professional Security Guard to protect people, property, and facilities. The Security Guard will monitor assigned areas, conduct foot or vehicle patrols, control access, respond to security incidents, and maintain a safe environment.

Responsibilities

Patrol and monitor assigned buildings, property, and parking areas.

Monitor cameras, alarms, entrances, and access points.

Check IDs, visitors, and vehicles as required.

Prevent and report theft, vandalism, trespassing, and suspicious activity.

Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents.

Maintain daily activity and incident reports.

Communicate with supervisors, employees, visitors, and emergency personnel.

Follow company security policies and site procedures.

Armed Guards: Carry and handle an authorized firearm according to applicable laws and company requirements.

Qualifications

Previous security, military, law enforcement, or related experience preferred.

Good communication and observation skills.

Reliable, alert, and professional.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Must meet applicable state security licensing requirements.

Armed Guards: Must have required firearm license/permit and qualifications.

Must pass required background and screening checks.
