General Laborer

A general laborer performs manual, physical tasks to support daily operations on construction sites, in warehouses, or across manufacturing and maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Preparation and Cleanup: Clear debris, remove hazardous materials, and keep work areas safe and organized.
• Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials, tools, and heavy supplies using carts, dollies, or by hand.
• Supporting Trades: Assist skilled workers like carpenters, plumbers, and electricians by gathering tools and prepping spaces.
• Basic Equipment Operation: Use hand tools, power tools, and basic machinery such as forklifts or drills when trained.
• Manual Tasks: Dig trenches, backfill holes, and build or dismantle temporary structures like scaffolding.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, lift heavy objects (often up to 40–50 pounds), and work in all weather conditions.
• Safety Adherence: Follow all site safety protocols and wear proper protective gear.
• Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is often preferred, though many positions provide on-the-job training.
