Job Summary:
A growing precision manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Third Shift Production Supervisor to lead an approximately 20-person overnight production team in the Bryan/College Station area. This role is responsible for safety, quality, productivity, staffing, and employee performance during third shift.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and hold accountable a 20-person production team.
- Set expectations for safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and workplace standards.
- Run shift-start meetings and communicate nightly production priorities.
- Monitor staffing, workflow, equipment, production output, and downtime.
- Address and escalate safety, quality, equipment, production, and personnel issues.
- Reinforce 5S, standard work, SOPs, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain production, quality, downtime, and shift documentation.
- Provide a clear handoff to the incoming shift.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of production or manufacturing supervisory experience.
- Experience leading third shift, second shift, weekend, or another off-shift operation.
- Proven ability to coach employees and hold teams accountable.
- Experience in CNC machining, precision manufacturing, molding, or similar discrete manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of CNC machining, setups, tooling, or comparable manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read manufacturing prints and understand dimensions and tolerances.
- Experience working with production metrics, SOPs, standard work, and quality requirements.
- Strong judgment and ability to work independently when senior leadership is not onsite.
Preferred:
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, TWI, root-cause analysis, or continuous improvement.
- Experience improving structure, accountability, or performance within a production team.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
Location: This is a fully onsite opportunity in the Bryan/College Station area of Texas.
Schedule: Third shift, Monday–Friday. The company may transition to a four-day, approximately 12-hour schedule in the future.
Compensation: $85,000–$110,000 base + potential performance bonus and benefits
