Maintenance Helper

General Labor Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the maintenance and repair of various systems and equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills while supporting the maintenance team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks on electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.
• Help troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions using schematics and technical manuals.
• Support fabrication tasks as needed, including welding and residential painting projects.
• Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking work orders and inventory management.
• Supervise junior staff or apprentices during maintenance activities, providing guidance and leadership.
• Conduct inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
