Repair Technician

AEG Petroleum LLC, based in Amarillo, TX, is a growing family owned and operated petroleum distributor. We are looking for a highly motivated Repair Technician to join our Amarillo team and contribute to our continued success. Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Repair Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment used in our operations. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and field service work to ensure equipment remains safe, compliant, and fully operational. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and takes pride in quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues on equipment and systems

·       Perform repairs on pumps, motors, meters, hoses, valves, and related components

·       Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections

·       Troubleshoot and repair dispensing systems and associated equipment

·       Complete service calls at customer sites as needed

·       Maintain accurate service records and documentation

·       Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company procedures

·       Coordinate parts ordering and inventory needs with warehouse team

·       Maintain tools and work areas in clean condition

·       Respond to urgent repair requests in a timely and professional manner

Qualifications:

·       High school diploma or equivalent required

·       2+ years of mechanical, industrial, automotive, or related repair experience preferred

·       Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

·       Basic understanding of electrical systems (low voltage and 120/240V preferred)

·       Experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

·       Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

·       Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

·       Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in warehouses, shop, or outdoor environments

·       Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
