Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) — Full-Time & Part-Time | Kunkle Fire Company

At Kunkle Fire Company, every second counts. We are seeking dedicated, compassionate Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our emergency response team in Dallas Township. Working alongside AEMTs, Paramedics, and Firefighters, you will deliver vital basic life support (BLS) care, operate emergency vehicles, and serve as a crucial backbone of our community safety net.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide Immediate Care: Respond to 911 calls and deliver high-quality BLS care, including patient assessment, airway management, CPR, hemorrhage control, and splinting.
  • Operate Apparatus: Safely drive and position ambulances in high-pressure emergency environments in accordance with state laws and company protocols.
  • Partner for Patient Care: Collaborate seamlessly with Paramedics and Advanced EMTs on complex ALS calls and assist with patient stabilization and transport.
  • Ensure Operational Readiness: Inspect, clean, and restock medical gear, supplies, and vehicles at the start of every shift.
  • Accurate Documentation: Complete thorough, clear, and professional Patient Care Reports (PCRs) for every incident.

What We’re Looking For

  • Certification: Active Pennsylvania EMT Certification (PA EMT-B).
  • Life Support: CPR for Healthcare Providers / Professional Rescuer Certification.
  • Vehicle Operations: Valid driver’s license with EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operator Course) certification.
  • Safety Awareness: Hazardous Materials Awareness certification.
  • Core Skills: Strong communication, calm under pressure, and physical stamina required for patient lifting and transport.
