Mobile Phlebotomist

The Mobile Phlebotomist plays a vital role in delivering high-quality blood collection services directly to patient homes, clinics, and outpatient facilities. Working primarily independently, this role requires expertise in phlebotomy as well as excellent patient interaction skills to ensure samples are collected safely and efficiently while maintaining patient comfort and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples accurately from patients in various locations including homes and clinics
• Engage with patients professionally to explain procedures and ensure comfort
• Label specimens correctly to maintain chain of custody and avoid errors
• Transport specimens securely to designated laboratories or facilities
• Prepare and maintain phlebotomy equipment and supplies for daily visits
• Adhere to infection control protocols to prevent contamination or exposure
• Enter patient and specimen data accurately into healthcare systems
• Schedule appointments efficiently to maximize daily route productivity
• Manage inventory of supplies to avoid shortages during visits
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with medical standards

Required Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification
• Phlebotomy license
