Heavy Equipment Operator

Position Summary

We are seeking dependable, motivated Heavy Equipment Operators/Material Handlers/Forklift Operators for a hands-on industrial storage operation.

This position involves receiving, inspecting, moving, organizing, and tracking large and heavy materials. The environment includes trucks, lifting equipment, rigging, and active material movement, so safety, communication, and attention to detail are essential.

Candidates with experience in **construction, military logistics, rigging, heavy equipment, industrial operations, material handling, or skilled trades** are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

* Load and unload trucks and trailers carrying large or heavy materials.

* Receive deliveries and verify quantities against documentation.

* Inspect materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.

* Count, identify, document, and track inventory accurately.

* Move, stage, organize, and prepare materials for storage or shipment.

* Assist with rigging, securing, lifting, and positioning materials.

* Operate forklifts, telehandlers, loaders, or other equipment when trained and authorized.

* Secure loads and help prevent product damage.

* Maintain clean and organized work areas.

* Coordinate material movement with drivers, supervisors, and equipment operators.

* Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or damaged equipment.

* Assist with other duties as operational needs change.

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in material handling, construction, logistics, rigging, heavy equipment, manufacturing, or industrial operations.

* Experience working safely around large or heavy materials.

* Forklift, heavy equipment, rigging, or load-securement experience is a plus.

* Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.

* Ability to follow procedures and work independently after training.

* Strong communication, attendance, and reliability.

Physical & Work Environment

Candidates should be comfortable:

* Working around trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, and large materials.

* Standing and walking for extended periods.

* Bending, climbing, lifting, pushing, and pulling as required.

* Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

* Wearing required PPE.

* Working safely around active equipment and lifting operations.
