Brake Press Operator

Location: Bellingham

We are looking for a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate press brake machinery according to setup instructions, read blueprints, and use precision measuring equipment to form high-quality metal parts. You will maintain Quality Management System standards, inspect components, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine part specifications
• Operate press brake machinery per instructions from setup personnel to form precision parts
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to inspect parts
• Ensure all manufactured components meet exact tolerance and quality specifications
• Follow Quality Management System procedures, work instructions, and ISO 9001 standards
• Maintain production cycles and efficiency goals to meet tight manufacturing deadlines
• Comply with OSHA safety standards, regulatory guidelines, and shop safety procedures
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and uphold company quality policies
• Work flexibly across shifts and collaborate effectively with setup personnel and quality teams

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience operating press brakes or working in metal fabrication
• Basic working knowledge of press brake operations, forming techniques, and shop equipment
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and standard machine shop measuring tools
• Strong math skills, including accurate work with decimals, fractions, and spatial measurements
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems, ISO 9001 requirements, and OSHA safety regulations
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills with sharp attention to detail
• Reliable work ethic, adaptability to changing production needs, and flexibility to work any shift
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven manufacturing facility
