Job Overview
The CMO Clerk provides administrative, production-control, inventory, and documentation support for the Custom Manufacturing Operation. This role helps keep work orders, production records, material transactions, schedules, and quality documentation accurate and current. The Clerk works closely with the CMO Inventory Analyst, supervisors, line leads, quality personnel, warehouse partners, and packaging teams in a fast-paced environment where safety, accuracy, organization, and timely communication are essential.

Pay-
$23.50-$28.00/hr based on experience 
Qualifications

  • Coordinate clerical and production-support activities for scheduled CMO packaging work orders.
  • Review and organize bills of materials, manufacturing instructions, standard operating procedures, specifications, and other required production documents before work begins.
  • Create, distribute, collect, verify, and file work-order packets and production records; identify missing, incomplete, or inconsistent information and obtain corrections promptly.
  • Enter, update, and verify production, material, inventory, and work-order information in SAP and other approved systems or spreadsheets.
  • Assist the CMO Inventory Analyst with inventory research, reconciliation, cycle-count follow-up, PPOV activities, and investigation of material variances.
  • Support production scheduling and communicate job status, material shortages, documentation needs, holds, and other issues to the appropriate team members.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper records in accordance with document-retention requirements, lot-control practices, GMPs, and site procedures.
  • Support required quality checks and documentation, including use of tablet-based applications when assigned; immediately escalate quality concerns or discrepancies.
  • Prepare routine reports, trackers, labels, tags, and other operational documents needed to support production and inventory control.
  • Work collaboratively with operations, quality, warehouse, and third-party personnel to resolve documentation or transaction issues that could delay production or affect inventory accuracy.
  • Support 5S and good housekeeping by keeping office, filing, and shared work areas orderly and by helping reinforce organized document and material-control practices.
  • Follow all site safety rules, GMP requirements, and required PPE practices; report unsafe conditions, near misses, incidents, and quality concerns immediately.
  • Provide limited support to packaging-line operations when regular CMO Clerk duties are current and operational needs require assistance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Cross-train to provide backup support for other clerical, inventory, quality-documentation, or production-support duties as business needs require.
  • Provide limited support to packaging-line operations when regular CMO Clerk duties are current and operational needs require assistance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.










Requirements
  • Maintain an excellent attendance record with no more than 2 points over a 6-month period.
  • Must be able to work overtime and occasional weekend as needed.
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records while managing multiple priorities.
  • Basic math skills, including accurate counting, addition, subtraction, and reconciliation of quantities.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow bills of materials, manufacturing instructions, SOPs, and written work instructions.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word, with the ability to learn additional business systems.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently, use sound judgment, meet deadlines, and escalate issues appropriately.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous clerical, production-control, inventory, warehouse, or manufacturing experience.
  • Experience using SAP or a comparable enterprise resource planning system.
  • Knowledge of lot control, GMPs, quality documentation, cycle counting, and Lean Manufacturing or 5S practices.
  • Experience in a fast-paced packaging, assembly, or contract manufacturing environment.

Physical and Work Environment
  • Regularly works in both office and production or warehouse areas and may be exposed to typical manufacturing noise, traffic, and activity.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods; use a computer and tablet; and occasionally bend, reach, or move light materials and records.
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment while in designated production or warehouse areas.
