About this job

Description:

Restaurant Training Coordinator

MooCoo Group | Metro Atlanta, GA
Full-Time | Salaried | Multi-Unit Field Position

Turn Your Restaurant Experience Into Developing Others

Are you the person everyone turns to when a new employee needs to be trained? Do you love hospitality, know what great service looks like, and enjoy helping people become more confident and successful at what they do?

MooCoo Group is looking for an experienced Hospitality Training Coordinator to support our growing family of restaurant concepts throughout Metro Atlanta. This is not a traditional restaurant management position, and it is not a floating Manager or shift-coverage role. Instead, you'll spend your time where your experience can make the biggest impact: inside our restaurants, developing Trainers, supporting new hires, reinforcing standards, identifying training gaps, and helping our teams consistently execute the training programs we have built.

If you are an experienced hospitality professional who loves training, coaching, teaching, and developing people, this may be the next step you've been looking for.

What You'll Do

As our Hospitality Training Coordinator, you'll partner with our VP of People & Culture and VP of Operations, while working directly with Store Managers, Trainers, and restaurant teams across multiple concepts.

You'll be our boots-on-the-ground training resource, helping ensure that what we teach on paper translates into what happens every day in our restaurants.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Visit restaurant locations throughout Metro Atlanta to observe and support training.
  • Work alongside Store Managers and designated Trainers to ensure company training programs are being followed consistently.
  • Coach and develop Trainers on how to effectively teach, communicate, demonstrate, and engage new employees.
  • Observe new-hire training and provide hands-on support when needed.
  • Help Trainers turn our training guides into an engaging, hospitality-focused experience rather than simply checking boxes.
  • Verify required training, quizzes, certifications, mock service, and documentation are being completed.
  • Conduct training and service observations to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with individual, departmental, or restaurant-wide retraining.
  • Reinforce FOH and BOH standards, service expectations, menu knowledge, systems and company procedures.
  • Help prepare teams for menu changes, operational rollouts, and new initiatives.
  • Support training for new restaurant openings.
  • Help identify and develop future Trainers.
  • Communicate training observations, successes, and opportunities to Store Managers and company leadership.
  • Help maintain consistency while recognizing that each of our restaurant concepts has its own identity and style.

You'll Work With Everyone

  • This position works across multiple levels of our organization.
  • You'll partner with the VP of People & Culture and the VP of Operations to understand training priorities and expectations.
  • You'll work directly with Store Managers to identify training needs and support their teams.
  • You'll spend significant time with our designated Trainers, coaching them to become stronger teachers and leaders.
  • And you'll work hands-on with our restaurant employees, helping them build the knowledge, confidence, and hospitality skills they need to succeed.
  • Your role isn't to replace any of these people.
  • Your role is to help make all of them stronger.

Who We're Looking For

Restaurant experience matters for this position.

We're looking for someone who understands that great hospitality cannot be taught entirely from a manual.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Several years of full-service restaurant or hospitality experience.
  • Restaurant management, training, or leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of FOH restaurant operations.
  • BOH operational knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience training and onboarding restaurant employees.
  • The confidence to coach employees, trainers, and Managers professionally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization and follow-through.
  • The ability to give constructive feedback while maintaining positive working relationships.
  • The ability to recognize when someone needs additional coaching and adjust their training approach.
  • Comfort working independently in multiple restaurant environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and developing people.

Experience with restaurant technology and training platforms is also helpful. Our restaurants utilize systems including Toast, 7shifts, Paylocity, and TipHaus.

Schedule & Travel

This is a field-based Metro Atlanta position, not a traditional Monday–Friday office job. Our restaurants are located throughout Cobb, Fulton, DeKalb, and Gwinnett counties, and regular travel between locations is required. The position will generally work a five-day schedule with two days off each week.

Because you need to see training and hospitality when they're actually happening, your schedule will include a combination of:

  • Daytime administrative and planning time
  • Restaurant training shifts
  • Lunch and dinner observations, including weekends
  • New restaurant opening schedules when applicable

We will work to geographically coordinate restaurant visits whenever possible to reduce unnecessary travel throughout Metro Atlanta.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $52,000–$58,000 annually, based on restaurant leadership, training, and multi-unit experience.

As a full-time salaried member of the MooCoo Group team, benefits include:

  • Paid vacation
  • Employee dining/food discounts
  • Benefits available to eligible full-time employees

This position offers the opportunity to move beyond traditional restaurant management while remaining actively involved in hospitality, team development, and restaurant operations across multiple concepts.

Why Join MooCoo Group?

This position offers something different for an experienced restaurant professional. You can stay connected to the energy and people of the restaurant business without spending every week running shifts, writing schedules, or constantly filling staffing holes. You'll have the opportunity to work across multiple restaurant concepts, develop people at every level, and have a direct impact on how our teams grow.

We're building training programs designed to create stronger employees, stronger Trainers, and stronger restaurant teams — and we need someone who enjoys being in the restaurants making sure those programs come to life.

If your favorite part of restaurant leadership has always been watching someone you've trained finally "get it," we want to talk to you. Apply today to learn more about becoming MooCoo Group's Hospitality Training Coordinator.
