This is a 13-week contract position.
ScheduleRotating Shift; primarily second shift hours with weekends assigned fairly among staff.
Job DescriptionAs a Computed Tomography Technologist, you will independently perform imaging procedures using established protocols. Your competence in technical procedures will require you to exercise independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
Responsibilities- Independently perform computed tomography procedures, including contrast administration.
- Utilize complex imaging equipment for acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data.
- Demonstrate proper venipuncture techniques and use of power injectors as per established protocols.
- Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders and assess patients for potential risks.
- Effectively communicate instructions to patients to alleviate fears and ensure cooperation.
- Ensure accurate patient identification using two identifiers and apply universal protocols.
- Document patient history in electronic records and ensure proper coding and tracking of exams performed.
- Engage with patients and co-workers with a high level of care and respect, working efficiently as part of a team.
- Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program.
- CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of hire if primary registry is obtained.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience required.
- ARRT certification, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pennsylvania state clearances (Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73).
