Job Title: Power Tooler
Pay:$23.00 per hour, based on experience
Shift:Primarily 1st shift; candidates open to night shiftarepreferred

Position Overview

The Power Tooler is responsible for preparing metal surfaces using grinders, needle guns, and other power tools. The work will primarily support exterior coatings projects. Candidates must have at least one year of related experience. Higher pay within the range may be offered to candidates with stronger power-tool and surface-preparation experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operate grinders and needle guns to clean and prepare metal surfaces.
Remove rust, paint, scale, and other materials before coatings are applied.
Perform primarily exterior surface-preparation and coatings-related work.
Inspect and maintain tools to ensure they operate safely and properly.
Follow all safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment.
Wear a half-facerespirator when performing interior work.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow supervisors directions and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Work overtime or night shift when required.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum of one year of experience using grinders and needle guns.
Previous power-tool or surface-preparation experience is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of power-tool safety and proper operating procedures.
Ability to wear a half-face respirator when performing interior work.
Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
Ability to work in confined spaces and various environmental conditions.
Must be dependable and report to work on time.
Must be available to start as soon as possible.
Candidates who are open to both day and night shifts are preferred.
