Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy evaluation, treatment, and reassessments across acute care settings including ER, ICU, Medical-Surgical, and Orthopedics
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care, short-term goals, and home exercise programs
• Perform gait training, therapeutic exercise (AROM/AAROM/PROM), and functional mobility training using assistive devices including walkers, gait belts, and crutches
• Conduct patient and family education on body mechanics, pain assessment, skin integrity, and safe use of equipment
• Manage patients with complex diagnoses including COPD, CHF, CABG, MI, hip fractures, total joint replacements, and post-stroke rehabilitation
• Complete discharge planning and documentation using Epic; monitor vital signs and supplemental O2 as clinically indicated

Required Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapist license (compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of candidate submission
• Candidates must live within 50 miles of the facility to be considered as a local applicant; locals are accepted at a reduced rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in geriatric populations and post-surgical orthopedic rehabilitation
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system
• Experience with ICU and medically complex patient populations
• Ability to float to sister facilities within the same health system as needed
