Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist (PT) specializing in inpatient care is sought for a role in a community-based acute care hospital setting. This position involves assessing and treating adult and geriatric patients with various medical conditions, supporting patient recovery and rehabilitation during their hospital stay. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Tuesday through Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license, BLS certification, 1-year clinical experience in inpatient therapy, with proficiency in acute care, patient mobility assistance, and use of assistive devices.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, charting, and hospital-based therapy procedures.
- Additional Information: The PT will provide care for adult and geriatric patient populations, including those with orthopedic, neurological, and cardiovascular diagnoses such as post-surgical recovery, stroke rehabilitation, and COPD management. Responsibilities include patient assessments, development of personalized plans of care, and education on mobility and safety techniques. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling, including holiday coverage, and able to work in a small, community hospital environment.
