We are looking for a Telecommunications Specialist to join a service-focused team in Florida on a contract basis with the potential for a permanent role. This position supports the development and improvement of electronic and telecommunications-related systems through design work, testing, analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex engineering initiatives while helping ensure products are reliable, well-documented, and ready for manufacturing and operational use.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and evaluate electronic circuits, assemblies, and power solutions through design, simulation, prototyping, and test activities.
• Partner with engineering teams to refine subsystem and system designs, incorporating updates that support development goals and product performance.
• Produce schematics and contribute technical guidance for board layout, routing, and integration of subassemblies.
• Perform engineering analysis using simulation tools and calculations to validate designs and address technical challenges.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation to support engineering, manufacturing, and ongoing product lifecycle needs.
• Lead or assist with laboratory testing, troubleshooting, root cause investigations, and risk assessments to improve product quality and reliability.
• Resolve product and process issues by recommending design improvements, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and assessing impact to schedules and budgets.
• Maintain accurate engineering records, including bills of materials and component obsolescence tracking for development and production items.
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers by presenting technical information, supporting proposals, and contributing to project execution.
• Provide guidance, training, and day-to-day technical support to engineers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel as needed.• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in electronic design, modeling, simulation, analysis, and hands-on testing of assemblies or systems.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Working knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, including filtering, interfacing, programmable logic, and low-power applications.
• Experience with power supply design, peripheral integration, and implementation of communication interfaces such as I2C, Ethernet, and similar protocols.
• Proficiency with simulation and computational tools such as LTSpice or comparable platforms, as well as standard technical documentation practices.
• Familiarity with microcontrollers, DSPs, FPGAs, design validation, board bring-up, and laboratory test methods.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and technical presentations.
