Job Description
Make a difference in elementary education by providing essential speech-language services to young learners. This contract opportunity focuses on supporting students in two elementary buildings, working part-time hours during the week. As a valued Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll work alongside educators and families to help students build the communication foundations they need for success.
Desired Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current, active Speech-Language Pathologist state licensure (CCC-SLP preferred)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric role strongly preferred
- Understanding of best practices in school SLP service delivery for grades K–5
- Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, evidence-based speech and language therapy for elementary-aged students across two buildings, approximately 23 hours per week at 0.6 FTE
- Assess, document, and monitor student progress using appropriate tools and school protocols
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Provide consultative services to teachers and staff to support student outcomes and inclusion within classroom settings
- Foster a positive, encouraging environment for all students on your caseload
