Mid-Level Labor & Employment Associate Attorney - 4-6 YOE

Labor and Employment Associate | San Francisco, CA | $230,000-$250,000

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a mid-level Labor and Employment Associate to join its San Francisco office.

This opportunity offers a sophisticated management-side employment practice with substantial responsibility, direct client contact, and the ability to manage matters throughout all phases of litigation. The successful candidate will work closely with employers on complex workplace disputes while collaborating with experienced attorneys in a highly respected practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage employment litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Defend employers in matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour claims, and reasonable accommodation issues
• Handle representative action and complex employment litigation matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and discovery responses
• Conduct legal research and prepare litigation strategy recommendations
• Take and defend depositions, including plaintiffs, fact witnesses, and corporate representatives
• Manage matters through discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation
• Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings
• Provide practical employment law guidance to employer clients
• Work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and clients

Requirements

• 4-6 years of labor and employment law experience
• Experience handling employment litigation matters from start to finish
• Experience with wage and hour claims
• Experience managing representative action matters
• Experience with class action litigation preferred
• Strong deposition experience
• Strong motion practice experience
• Experience managing discovery and case strategy
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Active California Bar admission

Employment counseling experience preferred
