PERSONAL INJURY LITIGATION PARALEGAL
West Hollywood, CA or Irvine, CA - Onsite, Hybrid, or Remote for Exceptional Candidates
A growing plaintiff-side litigation practice is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join a highly collaborative legal team handling complex personal injury, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, premises liability, and negligence matters. This is an opportunity to work on meaningful, high-impact cases while supporting attorneys throughout all phases of litigation.
The position is based in West Hollywood or Irvine with flexibility for hybrid schedules and potential remote arrangements for exceptional candidates with highly relevant experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support attorneys through all phases of personal injury litigation from case intake through trial and resolution.
- Draft, prepare, file, and serve pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, deposition notices, and litigation-related documents.
- Review, organize, and summarize medical records, deposition transcripts, discovery responses, and case-related evidence.
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, inspections, expert appointments, and settlement conferences.
- Maintain litigation calendars and track court deadlines, discovery deadlines, expert deadlines, and trial dates.
- Communicate regularly with clients, attorneys, experts, witnesses, medical providers, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
- Assist with case development, discovery management, and ongoing litigation strategy.
- Coordinate expert witness files, expert disclosures, and document production.
- Prepare trial binders, exhibits, witness lists, exhibit lists, motions in limine materials, and other trial-related documents.
- Provide litigation and trial support during hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trial proceedings.
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical case files.
- Assist with settlement documentation, lien resolution, and case closing activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years of civil litigation paralegal experience preferred.
- Personal injury litigation experience strongly preferred.
- Experience drafting discovery, subpoenas, deposition notices, and litigation-related documents.
- Strong understanding of California civil litigation procedures and court filing requirements.
- Experience reviewing and organizing medical records and damages-related documentation.
- Experience coordinating depositions, mediations, experts, and trial preparation activities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple active cases and competing deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment.
- Professional and client-focused approach with a commitment to confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, legal research
EDUCATION
- Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- Associate Degree, Bachelor Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
