Part-Time Cost Estimator

BBSI is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Part-Time Cost Estimator to assist

with estimating residential and commercial glazing projects. The ideal candidate is comfortable reading

architectural plans, performing material takeoffs, obtaining pricing, and preparing accurate project estimates.

The Client specializes in quality glass and glazing work, including high-end residential projects. They are

looking for someone who is organized, accurate, and able to work effectively with our office and field teams.

Pay Rate: 24.00/Hr.

Shift Hrs. Part time cost estimator hours are – a couple hours throughout the week (Monday – Thursday) OR coming in 1-2 days a week with full time hours. Client is flexible on that.

Key Responsibilities

 Review architectural drawings, plans, specifications, and project documents.

 Perform accurate quantity and material takeoffs for glass and glazing projects.

 Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, hardware, labor, and other project-related costs.

 Request and review pricing from vendors and suppliers.

 Assist with preparing proposals and bid packages.

 Identify project requirements, scope details, and potential exclusions or discrepancies.

 Maintain organized estimating records, pricing information, and project documentation.

 Track bid deadlines and assist in ensuring estimates are completed on time.

 Communicate with project managers, vendors, contractors, and other team members when clarification is

needed.

 Review plans for shower enclosures, mirrors, glass railings, storefront systems, doors, and other glazing

applications, as applicable.

 Assist with change-order pricing and project revisions.

 Help maintain current material and labor pricing for future estimates.
