Qualifications & Experience:

• Active SLI Certification is required
• Must meet NC EIPA requirements (minimum 3.5 passing score plus written assessment)
• Demonstrated expertise supporting children and adolescents in educational settings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times

What You'll Do:

• Provide high-quality sign language interpretation for students and school staff during classroom activities, special events, and other educational functions
• Facilitate effective communication and accessible learning for students who are deaf or hard of hearing across various grade levels
• Collaborate with teachers and support personnel to ensure students’ needs are met and equal access to instruction is upheld
• Adapt interpretation techniques based on student age, individual needs, and subject matter
• Maintain accurate records and comply with school and legal reporting standards
