Senior Associate Attorney, Insurance Coverage
I'm partnering with a respected law firm seeking an experienced Senior Associate Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled attorney who enjoys analyzing complex coverage issues, advising clients on insurance-related matters, and managing sophisticated litigation.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will work on a broad range of insurance coverage matters, providing strategic legal counsel and representing clients in coverage disputes and litigation. You'll collaborate with a talented legal team while serving as a trusted advisor on policy interpretation, claims handling, and emerging developments in insurance law.
This position is ideal for an attorney who combines strong analytical abilities with excellent advocacy skills and is looking to take on meaningful responsibility within a collaborative and growing practice.
What You'll Do
- Advise clients on insurance coverage issues, including policy interpretation, claims handling, and dispute resolution.
- Manage and support complex insurance coverage and insurance bad faith litigation matters.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to develop case strategy and provide practical client guidance.
- Represent clients in litigation, mediation, negotiations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
- Review and analyze insurance policies, coverage positions, and related documentation.
- Monitor changes in insurance law, regulations, and industry developments to provide current and strategic advice.
- Collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to deliver exceptional client service.
What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the Washington State Bar.
- 5+ years of experience in insurance coverage, insurance bad faith litigation, or a combination of both.
- Admission to the Oregon State Bar is a plus.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and client-facing abilities.
- Proven ability to manage complex matters and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and high-quality legal work.
