About the Position

AlliedTravelCareers is working with Towne U.S. LLC to find a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Mars Hill, North Carolina, 28754!

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team for a travel assignment. Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will provide high-quality therapy services to help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and overall functional independence.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated therapy professional to expand their clinical experience while working in a new healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is adaptable, patient-focused, and committed to providing exceptional, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, strengthening exercises, transfer training, and functional mobility interventions
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Assist patients in improving strength, mobility, endurance, balance, and functional independence
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, mobility techniques, fall prevention, and safety strategies
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with Physical Therapists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Participate in care planning and assist with discharge planning as appropriate
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional therapy environment
  • Adapt quickly to new facilities, teams, documentation systems, and patient populations

Requirements

  • Required: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Required: Active PTA license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain
  • Previous clinical experience preferred
  • Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
