Gastroenterology Hospitalist - 7on/7off

Korzen Health is partnering with one of the largest not-for-profit healthcare systems in Northeast Texas to recruit an experienced GI Hospitalist to join a growing, well-established gastroenterology team. Due to continued growth in the area, this 35-bed, Level III Trauma hospital is seeking an additional physician to strengthen its inpatient GI service.

Join a collaborative team of 6 full-time Gastroenterologists and 1 full-time GI Hospitalist, with robust support staff designed to help you focus on delivering excellent patient care.

• 7 days on / 7 days off — 182 shifts per year
• Flexibility to adjust the schedule around pre-planned vacations and time off
• Night call relief Monday–Thursday
• Holiday coverage rotated on a 1:7 ratio — you won't be covering every major holiday

• Provide inpatient-only GI hospitalist coverage — no outpatient duties
• Round on inpatients daily
• Manage an average of 5–10 procedures per day and approximately 8 consults per day
• Advanced ERCP required; EUS preferred but not required
• Full GI inpatient service coverage provided by you and your care team

• Nurse Practitioner (NP) support during weekdays, assisting with rounding during procedures
• Internal Medicine Resident support during the week
• Additional NP support for new providers during weeknight coverage
