Overview
MRI Technologist (MRI) needed for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. This position is a 13-week assignment starting 09/21/2026 in a hospital-based imaging department. Expect a pay range of $2,649 to $2,801 per week, with 8.5-hour weekday shifts (Mon-Fri, 1:00 PM–9:30 PM) and some flexibility for holidays per unit needs. Experience working with pediatric patients (neonates through age 18) is required, with BLS and Siemens scanner proficiency preferred. This role is with a hospital-based imaging team managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures on pediatric patients from neonates through age 18, using Siemens MRI scanners
- Prepare patients, explain the procedure, position for imaging, and help maintain comfort and safety during scans
- Adhere to MRI safety policies, screen for contraindications, and monitor patients for motion; determine when a scan must be stopped due to safety concerns
- Coordinate with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure prompt delivery of diagnostic images to the chart/PACS
- Maintain a clean, safe scanning environment, document procedures, and uphold patient confidentiality
- Adjust scanning parameters to accommodate a range of patient ages and clinical indications
Requirements
- Education: Associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiologic technology
- Certification: ARRT certification (MRI preferred); NYS Radiologic Technologist license required or must be obtained prior to start
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of MRI experience; 6 months of pediatric MRI experience; Level 1 trauma center experience
- Special skills: Siemens MRI scanner experience
- Additional: BLS (American Heart Association)
