Duties
- Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle payroll processing for 500+ employees on a bi-weekly basis.
- Process multi-state payroll while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
- Oversee payroll tax filings, reporting, reconciliations, quarter-end and year-end processing.
- Administer employee deductions, garnishments, benefits, wage assignments, and other payroll-related transactions.
- Review, audit, and process meal and rest period premium payments and labor compliance violations.
- Generate, analyze, and distribute payroll reports to Human Resources, Finance, and senior leadership.
- Partner closely with Human Resources to ensure accurate processing of new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, promotions, leaves of absence, benefits, and employee status changes.
- Ensure payroll records are maintained in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external payroll audits and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Serve as the primary payroll subject matter expert and point of contact for payroll-related inquiries.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of progressive payroll experience
- Experience processing payroll for 500+ employees.
- Extensive knowledge of multi-state payroll processing, payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and labor compliance requirements.
- Experience managing payroll deductions, garnishments, reconciliations, audits, and reporting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting.
- Advanced ADP Workforce Now Payroll experience required.
- Bilingual Spanish/English required, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Human Resources, Finance, and Operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing multi-location payroll in a hospitality, restaurant, retail, or multi-unit environment preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to lift up 25 pounds regularly & un-assisted
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- The ability to safely climb ladders
