Maintenance Director

A skilled nursing facility in the Cincinnati area is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance, safety, and physical operations of our facility.

We are looking for a hands-on leader with prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience who understands the unique regulatory and safety requirements of a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance and upkeep of the facility, grounds, and equipment

• Ensure compliance with Life Safety Code standards, fire safety requirements, and applicable healthcare regulations

• Maintain required maintenance, inspection, and Life Safety documentation

• Perform and coordinate preventative maintenance

• Troubleshoot and address general HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building maintenance needs

• Coordinate outside vendors and contractors as needed

• Prepare the facility for state surveys and Life Safety inspections

• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance needs

Requirements

• Previous maintenance experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility required

• Strong working knowledge of Life Safety Code standards and healthcare compliance

• Experience with preventative maintenance and facility inspections

• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems

• Strong organizational and documentation skills

• Ability to prioritize projects and respond effectively to emergencies

• Must be dependable and available for on-call maintenance emergencies
