Microelectronics Microsoldering Technician
At a glance
- Pay: $20.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, first shift, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
When your shift begins, you’ll settle in at a clean, organized bench, power up the microscope, and get hands-on with precision builds. You’ll move between fine through‑hole soldering, neat wiring, and assembling connectors and subassemblies—always guided by clear work instructions and blueprints. Throughout the day, you’ll check your own work, document key measurements, and help the team hit quality and output goals without compromising safety.
What you’ll handle- Execute fine through‑hole soldering and detailed wiring while working under a microscope.
- Assemble electronic parts, connectors, hardware, and complete subassemblies to specification.
- Use benches, fixtures, tools, and assembly machinery safely and effectively.
- Inspect builds, clean, perform touch‑ups, and rework as required to meet standards.
- Interpret and follow work instructions, drawings, blueprints, and production documents.
- Capture measurements and record product data when requested.
- Consistently meet quality criteria and daily production targets.
- Maintain a tidy, safe work area and follow all manufacturing and safety procedures.
- Support training efforts and collaborate to achieve team goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Background in assembly or manufacturing preferred.
- Comfort with microscope work; ability to read blueprints is a plus.
- Strong manual dexterity and excellent hand–eye coordination.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong visual accuracy.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Team‑oriented with clear, constructive communication skills.
- Fast‑paced production environment.
- Repetitive hand motions are part of the role.
- Mostly seated duties with some standing, reaching, bending, and twisting.
- Frequent use of microscopes and precision hand tools.
- Possible exposure to manufacturing chemicals and solvents.
- Ability to pass a visual acuity exam (20/20 corrected or uncorrected) and a color vision test.
- IPC‑A‑610 certification may be required for designated assembly areas.
- Consistent ability to meet quality and productivity expectations.
